We need help with orphan poops................ We have a cadre of folks who routinely pick up orphan poops they find, but it is becoming more difficult to keep up. If you want to do something that really benefits the park, take a few extra bags and pick up anything you encounter. There's a lot of nasty stuff in dog feces, and the run off will pollute not only the ponds at BC, but it ultimately ends of in the Mississippi (believe it or not). Note: Yes, there are some folks who don't pick up after their dog (especially if no one else is around), BUT I think it's more common that your dog runs out of sight, poops, and you don't even know it. So I figure it's good karma to always take 4-5 bags with me and pick up any orphan poops I see. |

The purpose of this seminar is to help you better understand the dynamics of our dog park. The seminar will be conducted by Cheryl Gfrerer, a gifted dog trainer who will talk about the “do’s and don’ts” of a good dog park experience. Her comments will be specific to Battle Creek and along with other topics will cover canine body language, how we can better communicate with other owners about potential problems, and how to break up a dog fight.
